Penderecki in memoriam (BOF 2026)

A memorial concert for Krzysztof Penderecki takes place on Monday, 6 July 2026 at 19:00 at Opera Bałtycka in Gdańsk. The event is part of the Baltic Opera Festival 2026 and represents one of four Polish dates dedicated to the composer. Opera Bałtycka, the principal opera house in Gdańsk and one of Poland's leading lyric stages, is housed in a modernist building erected in the 1970s. Founded in 1949, the institution stages operas, ballets, and operettas and serves as home to the Opera Bałtycka ensemble. The Gdańsk concert precedes a series of three subsequent performances in Lusławice at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre of Music and Arboretum Park Lusławice.
