A guest performance by the Łódź-based Kamil Maćkowiak Theatre at the Polonia Theatre. We meet Lena and Adam ten years into their marriage, on their first evening alone without their nine-year-old son. He is counting on great sex; she hopes to finally catch up on work and relax with a glass of wine.
50 WORDS is a study of human relationships that demythologizes the image of romantic love while revealing the truth about love that contains almost everything: closeness, hatred, exhaustion, rejection, attentiveness, faithfulness, desire, selfishness, routine, a plea for tenderness, and disappointment – in oneself and in one's partner. It is a story about love that is fragile, imperfect, full of hope and need – like two people who create it.
"Maria Seweryn and Kamil Maćkowiak are fantastic; they have created wonderful roles for two essentially sensitive people whose lives are falling apart, cracking at the seams, who are deeply disappointed in themselves, unable to live together anymore, yet – unable to live without each other. I love this kind of theatre." – Rafał Turowski
Performance for audiences aged 16 and above.
