FERDYDURKE

An adaptation of Witold Gombrowicz's masterpiece, directed by Mariusz Malec. The performance is simultaneously a universal treatise on the search for one's own identity, a drama of the eternally maturing human, and a social thriller — as well as a satire on the educational process, pervasive petty-bourgeois attitudes, and social caste divisions. In Och-Teatr's version, it is also a virtuosic play with form and an exemplification of the grotesque.
