AT FIRST SIGHT
Polonia Theatre in Warsaw, Poland
Tessa is a lawyer on the brink of a great career who suddenly finds herself in a dramatic situation — she takes the stand as a witness in her own case. She must decide whether to risk everything to stand against heartless law and patriarchal structures.
The play addresses the theme of sexual violence and generated significant interest following its premieres on London's West End and New York's Broadway. Jodie Comer, who played Tessa there, won the Tony Award. For Maria Seweryn, the role of Tessa marks her first monodrama in her career.
The production is intended for audiences aged 15 and above. Warning: a cigarette is smoked during the performance.
