Polish premiere of a stage adaptation of the acclaimed Danish-Dutch-Swedish comedy-drama. The 2020 film original directed by Thomas Vinterberg (co-author of the theatrical adaptation) won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, four European Film Awards (best film, director, actor, and screenwriter), and over 20 other awards worldwide.
The play tells the story of four life-weary teachers who decide to empirically test the theory of Norwegian philosopher and psychiatrist Finn Skårderud — that human blood contains half a per mille too little alcohol. As part of their "experiment," the friends systematically make up for this deficit, observing how daily mild intoxication affects their work and private lives.
On the stage of Polonia will appear actors from Montownia Theatre — Adam Krawczuk, Marcin Perchuć, and Maciej Wierzbicki — as well as Marcin Hycnar, who also directed the production.
