The Wonderful Story of BasarKus / Compagnie Lamento / France / Festival of the Youngest 2026
Imperial Castle in Poznań, Poland
BasarKus is not an ordinary being — it is a creature with two heads, many legs, and countless hands. One day it discovers it has two hearts and begins to wonder: what if there are actually two of them? If so, they seem united for life.
Driven by curiosity, they cannot resist the temptation to separate. Their games consist of overcoming fears and experimenting with separation. During their adventures, they discover who they are and what they are capable of — together and each on their own.
"The Wonderful Story of BasarKus" is a virtuosic and playful circus-dance duet: Markus juggles, Basil performs acrobatics. Both constantly build bridges between their acts, testing the boundaries of this dialogue. At the heart of the story lie hybridity and the search for identity.
Duration: 30 minutes. Recommended age: from 3 years old.
