ZAKUKA

Concert as part of the 12th Festival "World of Music. Music of the World".

Zakuka is a band creating original songs inspired by the world music genre — they blend sounds rooted in tradition with modern production. The group was formed on the initiative of Żaneta Plotnik and Jakub Mitoraj; the musicians first appeared on stage — still under a different name — during the Debuts competition at the 47th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.

Vocalist Żaneta Plotnik handles the vocal layer, while producer Jakub Mitoraj — drawing on experience gained through collaboration with Grubson — incorporates electronics, acoustic guitar, and hurdy-gurdy. The lineup is completed by Mateusz Dźwigała, whose keyboard arrangements and vocals round out the band's sound.
