Pan Tu Wróci
Aula Artis in Poznań, Poland
"Pan Tu Wróci, czyli casting na tatę" ("He Will Return, or Casting for a Dad") is a theatrical performance organized as part of Czech Culture Days in collaboration with the Raczyński Library. The play is based on Czech humour, where absurdity intertwines with authentic emotions. The text is by Mirko Stieber, and the production is directed by Maciej Wierzbicki.
The action takes place in the 1970s on an abandoned railway station, where two strangers accidentally meet: Maria "Thick Glass" (Katarzyna Ankudowicz) and Antoni "Sheet Metal" (Marcin Perchuć / Piotr Ligienza). At one point, Maria makes the stranger a surprising, intimate proposition — a question that should not be asked between strangers.
The performance is part of the Czech Culture Days programme at the Raczyński Library (October 2026), which also includes a meeting with Petra Dvořáková, author of the novels "Crows" and "I Am Hunger".
