MALEVOLENCE x BOUNDARIES x GRIDIRON x HEAVY RUNNER | Warszawa — Hybrydy, Warsaw
Description was written before the event

Malevolence return to Poland leading a line-up that stretches extreme metal in every possible direction - from metalcore brutality, through beatdown, to rap-metal groove and raw, old-school hardcore. At Warsaw's Hybrydy club, the English band will be joined by Boundaries, Gridiron, and Heavy Runner.

Malevolence hail from the City of Steel and have spent years consistently climbing the European scene, blending metallized hardcore, sludge weight, and groove that devastates small clubs and major festivals with equal force. Live, they are pure energy - from cramped, sweaty clubs to arena support slots before Architects, Trivium, and Mastodon. It's no wonder they're counted among the most important forces of the new metal wave - they unite finesse with brutality so naturally, as if sludge, metalcore, and Southern riff tradition had always been one. Their discography is capped by "Where Only The Truth Is Spoken", released in June on Nuclear Blast, with tracks from which you'll hear live on June 11 at Warsaw's Hybrydy.

On "Death Is Little More", released last year by 3DOT, Boundaries ventured into their darkest direction yet without compromising quality. Their third album is packed with nods to genre classics, technical, almost mathcore melodies, memorable hooks, crushing breakdowns, all while raising the bar on atmosphere and aggression compared to its predecessors. In April they tore up the VooDoo stage, which they'll repeat in June at the Malevolence show.

If metal, hardcore, and rap were to meet on a field, Gridiron take the pitch as a team playing toward only one goal - the one they're demolishing right now. Their hybrid style merges death metal weight, hip-hop attitude, old-school groove, and rap-rock energy worthy of both Ozzfest '97 and the latest editions of Rolling Loud. In May they released their newest album "Poetry From Pain", praised for brutal energy, powerful messaging, and uncompromising.
