ACRES — Klub Pod Minogą, Poznań

British metalcore band Acres, with their latest album "The Host", recently performed alongside Fit For a King and Memphis May Fire in Warsaw, and on 25 October they return to the country as headliners. The group will play at the Poznań club Pod Minogą with support from Wayside, What Lies Below, and Lifespark.

Acres gained recognition with their 2019 debut "Lonely World", which blended melodic post-hardcore with melancholy and emotional honesty. Their newest album "The Host" is another step forward - material full of drama, weight, and moments that grab you by the throat. The band proves that there is still room for emotion and expression in metalcore.

Wayside hail from Australia and in their work combine influences from indie, 90s rock, and alternative music into a fresh mix. They themselves say their music will appeal to fans of Citizen, Deftones, and Limp Bizkit. They have two albums to their name - "Shine Onto Me" from 2021 and "What Does Your Soul Look Like", released two years later. Last year they also released the single "Can You See It?", recorded together with Softcult.

Metalcore as performed by What Lies Below is intense and at times heavily fractured, but don't worry - its progressive elements don't rob it of dynamism and energy. Their work is built on contrasts - from heavy riffs to electronic interludes that give the whole a sense of freshness, an almost club-like pulse.

Lifespark is a German band that defines their music as "heavy pop" - a blend of catchy melodies, positive messaging, and powerful breakdowns. They tour intensively across Europe, sharing the stage with acts including Our Last Night and Normandie, and their performances are 100% energy and direct contact with the audience.
