Shadows of Olive Groves — Winnica Adoria, Zachowice

Shadows of Olive Groves
Federico García Lorca / Manuel de Falla / Joaquín Rodrigo
20 September 2026 | Winnica Adoria | Open-air concert

The programme "Shadows of Olive Groves" leads to Andalusia as it exists in the imagination rather than on a map. It is the world of Federico García Lorca's poetry and the music of Manuel de Falla and Joaquín Rodrigo — artists who found a common language in the landscape of southern Spain, its memory, symbols and rhythms.

In Lorca's poetry, the moon, wind, earth, horse and olive tree are not merely elements of the landscape. They become signs of fate, love, death and longing. Andalusia appears here as a space full of light, but also mystery, where the everyday constantly touches what is mythical and elusive.

The music of de Falla and Rodrigo springs from the same source. Inspirations from flamenco, Andalusian tradition and Arab culture are not merely folkloric ornament, but create a deep emotional layer of this music. Characteristic rhythms, melodic lyricism and richness of colour build a world full of contrasts — between light and shadow, passion and silence, life and the premonition of transience.

"Shadows of Olive Groves" is a story of a place where poetry and music grow from the same soil. It is a journey through a landscape of memory and imagination, where word and sound reveal a deeper, timeless image of Spain.
