Early summer is the perfect time for open-air concerts. For the twenty-ninth time, we are delighted to invite you to the next Chamber Music Festival "Evenings in the Arsenal" by Jan Staniendy. As every year at the turn of June and July, surrounded by greenery and birdsong, chamber music in various styles and from different eras will resound in the beautiful courtyard of the historic Wrocław Arsenal, performed by outstanding soloists accompanied by the Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra.
This year the festival runs from 26 June to 5 July and includes six classical concerts and two entertainment programmes featuring songs and jazz standards in stellar performances.
On Sunday, 28 June, the concert "Tribute to Komeda" will take place, performed by the Andrzej Jagodziński Trio with the participation of Agnieszka Wilczyńska, Henryk Miśkiewicz and Robert Majewski. This concert was created on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Krzysztof Komeda – an outstanding Polish composer, creator of music for many films and an undisputed pioneer of jazz. His work remains eternally alive – it captivates successive generations and inspires artists.
On Saturday, 4 July, the Polyphonics ensemble will take the stage. Polyphonics consists of eight vocal talents working under the direction of Paweł Głowiński. This ensemble is an undisputed musical discovery of recent years, arousing admiration not only among audiences throughout Poland, but above all enjoying recognition and collaboration with such luminaries as Alicja Majewska, Włodzimierz Korcz, Michał Bajor, Krzysztof Cugowski, Igor Herbut and Irena Santor, who officially made Polyphonics the heir to her musical legacy. When the genius of Zbigniew Wodecki meets the phenomenal performance of Polyphonics, it can mean only one thing: a musical show of the highest calibre. Polyphonics with the Wodecki project "Welcome to" offers the audience an outstanding performance.
