Art on Screen: André Rieu. Long Live Maastricht! Live Cinema Broadcast of the Summer Concert from Maastricht 2026 — Kino Janosik w Żywcu, Żywiec

In July 2026, André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform for the 20th time on the Vrijthof - the famous square in Maastricht. In autumn, this jubilee concert will reach cinemas worldwide, including Kino Janosik in Żywiec.

The new show, titled "Long Live Maastricht!", is a tribute to the Maestro's hometown - the place where it all began 20 years ago. The programme features waltzes and marches by Johann Strauss the Elder and Younger, songs from the musicals "My Fair Lady" and "Les Misérables", as well as Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe" from the film "The Mission". The Vrijthof will host the Platinum Tenors, internationally renowned sopranos, and stars who have never performed on this square before.

The Polish broadcast will be hosted by Maja Jasińska - flautist of the Johann Strauss Orchestra. Viewers will see behind-the-scenes footage and hear an exclusive interview with André Rieu, conducted by her specifically for Polish cinema audiences.
