The National Philharmonic Orchestra under Krzysztof Urbański takes the stage in Warsaw on Thursday, 8 October 2026 at 19.00 at the National Philharmonic on Jasna Street. This concert is part of the Thursday Concerts series, which the orchestra presents throughout October in Warsaw's principal concert hall. The program, inspired by the film "2001: A Space Odyssey," combines Strauss's monumental symphonic poem Also Sprach Zarathustra with Ligeti's hypnotic Atmosphères, alongside Khachaturian's Adagio from the ballet Spartacus and Johann Strauss's The Blue Danube. The National Philharmonic, opened in 1955 in neoclassical style, remains Poland's foremost concert venue and the orchestra's home.
