Lubiewo

Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny im. M. i E. Wiercińskich – Scena Duża, Poland
"Lubiewo", based on Michał Witkowski's novel, is a performance about the power of imagination - filled with heroin and opera divas trapped in the bodies of aging, poor men.
Jędrzej Piaskowski (direction, concept) and Hubert Sulima (adaptation, dramaturgy, concept) have created a multi-layered narrative about loneliness, the need for love, rebellion, and anarchy. The creators stage "auntie" commemorations, and in many scenes reference places familiar to Wrocław audiences and their connection to LGBTQ+ culture.
Performance recommended for ages 18+.
