Housing Association — Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny im. M. i E. Wiercińskich – Scena Duża, Wrocław

Jiří Havelka's text is based on his personal experiences and notes from life in a Prague apartment building - and it seems incredibly funny until we realize how true it actually is.

The starting point of the performance is a housing association meeting where key decisions must be made: settling water consumption, renovation work, selling the attic. Yet it quickly becomes clear that the tenants' conflicting viewpoints block even the simplest resolutions, tension mounts with each passing moment, and the meeting reveals a grotesque cross-section of contemporary society - consumed by complexes, prejudices, and stereotypical thinking.
