Description was written before the event
Chopin concerts at Fryderyk Concert Hall take place daily in Warsaw's Old Town. Each evening is approximately a 60-minute recital divided into two parts, inspired by 19th-century musical salons - performed at a Steinway & Sons piano, by candlelight.
The programme features Chopin's nocturnes, mazurkas, waltzes and études. The stage hosts pianists affiliated with Polish and international music conservatories and prize-winners of piano competitions - both academy professors and young virtuosos. The repertoire and performers change regularly.
The hall's interior was designed in 19th-century-inspired style with the aim of experiencing music up close.
