The Maydays are an award-winning British improvisational group from Brighton, active for over twenty years. They were pioneers of longform and musical improvisation in Britain - both on stage and in teaching courses and workshops. Over the years they have taught throughout Britain and Europe, and many local improvisational communities grew from their instruction. Today The Maydays are primarily a performance ensemble that has appeared at countless festivals worldwide, multiple times at Edinburgh Fringe, and regularly at British comedy nights.

Happily Never After is a fully improvised dark comedy musical with a five-star rating. The show draws inspiration from gothic motifs, fairy tales, and the aesthetic of directors like Tim Burton - and is created entirely from a single suggestion from the audience.
