Ten-year-old Antek is bullied because of his unicorn backpack. The school has a solution: stop carrying it. His parents want to protect him - but it quickly becomes clear that it's far easier to change your own child than the world that hurts him.
"(I Don't) Love My Son" is a psychological drama based on "The Little Pony" by Paco Bezerra, inspired by true events. Natalia and Daniel love their son and both want to protect him - yet each understands protection differently. One defends his right to be himself, the other tries to teach him how to be less visible. Over time, the conversation about their child becomes a conversation about their own fears, guilt, and ideas about what a "normal" family should be. The play addresses themes of peer violence, physical and sexual abuse, exclusion, social pressure, and suicide.
The audience enters Natalia and Daniel's apartment and observes their drama from a very close distance - children also perform in the play. Stroboscopic effects are among the stage effects. After the performance, there is a meeting with the creators and actors, as well as a mindfulness practice - a space for conversation and emotional regulation. The play is under the patronage of the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation.
