About the venue

Katowice Miasto Ogrodów – Instytucja Kultury im. Krystyny Bochenek is a Polish cultural institution in Katowice, formed in 2016 by merging two predecessor organisations. It is housed in a late-modernist building from 1979 on plac Sejmu Śląskiego, whose façade features Stanisław Dróżdż's artwork "lub". The venue offers two concert halls, five free art galleries, the Hipnoza jazz club, and the Muzykodrom children's space. It hosts festivals such as Katowice JazzArt Festival, OFF Festival and Rawa Blues Festival, and runs the UNESCO City of Music programme.
