About the venue

Kino Kosmos is a single-screen municipal cinema in the centre of Třinec, in operation since 25 February 1968. The building was designed by Bratislava architects Ladislav Bořuta and Alois Daříček; the cinema hall's roof, suspended on 78 steel cables, is a technical rarity. In addition to film screenings in 3D and Dolby Atmos, the hall also serves as a conference and lecture venue. It ranks among the ten most visited single-screen cinemas in the Czech Republic.
