A$AP Rocky (born Rakim Athelston Mayers, October 3, 1988) is an American rapper, producer, actor, and fashion figure from Harlem, New York. A founding member of the A$AP Mob collective, he broke through in 2011 and went on to release four studio albums - all debuting at or near the top of the Billboard 200. Beyond music, he runs the creative agency AWGE, has co-chaired the Met Gala, and serves as creative director for both Ray-Ban and PUMA.
