Álex Ubago (born Alejandro Martínez de Ubago Rodríguez, January 29, 1981, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country) is a Spanish singer-songwriter who grew up in San Sebastián. His 2001 debut album ¿Qué pides tú? sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide and went 9× platinum in Spain, establishing him as one of the defining voices of melodic pop in Spanish. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has earned Latin Grammy nominations, an Ondas Award, and a Billboard Latino recognition, collaborating with artists including Laura Pausini, Luis Fonsi and Amaia Montero.
Ubago launched the ¿Qué pides tú? 25th Anniversary world tour in November 2025, opening in Munich and Berlin with sold-out shows, then continuing to Dublin, Amsterdam and Brussels.
The 25th anniversary tour was officially announced in July 2025, with dates spanning Europe, the United States and Latin America through the end of 2026.
The North American leg of the anniversary tour began in February 2026, with stops in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles.
The Spanish leg of the tour is scheduled for autumn 2026, with seven confirmed dates including Barcelona's Palau de la Música and Madrid's La Riviera.
Ubago released Álex Ubago: 20 Años on 13 May 2022, a 20th-anniversary album re-recording his best-known songs with guest vocalists including Jesús Navarro (Reik), Beret and La Oreja de Van Gogh.
