Alexander Marcus (born Felix Rennefeld, 26 July 1972 in Berlin) is a German singer, DJ and music producer who invented the genre he calls Electrolore - a blend of electronic club music and ironic Schlager. He signed with Kontor Records in the mid-2000s and released his debut album Electrolore in 2008, breaking through with the viral hit "Papaya". Known for extravagant stage costumes and self-deprecating humour, he has built a cult following across the German-speaking world over two decades.
