Âme is a Berlin-based house and techno duo formed by Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann, who first met in 2000 at Beyer's record shop in Karlsruhe. Active since 2001, they co-founded the influential Innervisions label alongside Dixon in 2005, which became a defining force in European electronic music. Their 2006 single 'Rej' broke them to a global audience and earned them Mixmag's Duo of the Year award. The two operate differently on stage - Beyer as a touring DJ, Wiedemann as a live performer - and sometimes combine both formats under the name Âme II Âme.
