Anastasia Kobekina (born 1994 in Yekaterinburg) is a Russian cellist who trained at the Kronberg Academy with Frans Helmerson, the Universität der Künste Berlin, and the Conservatoire de Paris. She won third prize at the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition and has since performed at venues from the Concertgebouw Amsterdam to Carnegie Hall. Signed to Sony Classical in 2024, she took the Opus Klassik Award (Young Talent of the Year) for her debut album Venice and the Leonard Bernstein Award the same year.
Kobekina released Bach: Cello Suites on Sony Classical (September 26, 2025), recorded on period instruments including two Stradivari cellos.
Kobekina appeared twice at the 2025 BBC Proms, including an all-night program featuring several of Bach's Suites.
German public broadcaster ARD aired a four-part documentary about Kobekina titled 'Anastasia Kobekina: Now or Never'.
Kobekina won the Opus Klassik Award in the category 'Young Talent of the Year (Cello)' for her debut album Venice at a ceremony in Berlin.
Kobekina received the Leonard Bernstein Award at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and signed an exclusive contract with Sony Classical.
