About

Anastasia Kobekina (born 1994 in Yekaterinburg) is a Russian cellist who trained at the Kronberg Academy with Frans Helmerson, the Universität der Künste Berlin, and the Conservatoire de Paris. She won third prize at the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition and has since performed at venues from the Concertgebouw Amsterdam to Carnegie Hall. Signed to Sony Classical in 2024, she took the Opus Klassik Award (Young Talent of the Year) for her debut album Venice and the Leonard Bernstein Award the same year.
