Ballyhoo! is a reggae-rock band from Aberdeen, Maryland, founded in 1995 by brothers Howi Spangler (vocals, guitar) and Donald Spangler (drums). Their sound pulls from punk, ska and alternative rock, and over ten studio albums they have built a loyal following on the American independent circuit - sharing stages with 311, Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads, and appearing on the 2012 Vans Warped Tour. Their 2011 album Daydreams debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts, and 2013's Pineapple Grenade broke into the Billboard 200.
Ballyhoo! released their tenth studio album SELF EMPLOYED on November 26, 2025, via Right Coast Records.
The band released a deluxe reissue of their 2006 album Do It for the Money! titled STILL DOIN' IT $TWENTY in 2026, marking the record's 20th anniversary.
Throughout 2025, Ballyhoo! released a string of singles including 'Meaningful', 'SWIM', 'ICARUS' (feat. Saxl Rose), 'The Sleepwalkers' and 'Going Up'.
Ballyhoo! released Shellshock, their ninth studio album, on August 25, 2023 via Ineffable Records, featuring collaborations with Iya Terra, HIRIE, Tropidelic and Bumpin Uglies.
The band released the singles 'Catch My Vibe', 'Girl Like You' and 'Wave of Life (Dub Mix)' in 2024, maintaining an active release schedule between albums.
