Chat Pile is an American noise rock band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formed in February 2019. The four members perform under pseudonyms - Raygun Busch (vocals), Luther Manhole (guitar), Stin (bass), and Cap'n Ron (drums) - and release their music through San Francisco label The Flenser. Their 2022 debut God's Country brought them wide critical recognition for its raw, claustrophobic take on socioeconomic decay in the American heartland, and the 2024 follow-up Cool World expanded that lens to global systemic violence.
Chat Pile announced their third album Who Loves the Sun, due September 4, 2026 via The Flenser, and shared lead single 'Deep Blue'.
Chat Pile added European dates for summer 2026, including shows in Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, and a one-off in Vienna with HEALTH and Carpenter Brut on August 11.
Chat Pile launched their own cassette label Dungeon Earth Recordings and released Blood at Night I & II, a two-volume collection of noise, ambient, and improv recordings from the Cool World sessions.
