About

Chet Faker is the stage name of Melbourne-born singer, producer and songwriter Nick Murphy (b. 1988), who broke through in 2011 with a viral SoundCloud cover of Blackstreet's "No Diggity". His platinum debut album Built on Glass (2014) won five ARIA Awards and topped Australia's triple j Hottest 100. Between 2017 and 2020 he released music under his real name before reviving the Chet Faker moniker; his third album under that name, A Love For Strangers, came out in February 2026.
