Dreiviertelblut is a Bavarian band founded in 2012 by singer Sebastian Horn (also frontman of Bananafishbones) and film composer Gerd Baumann, who first worked together on the soundtrack for the crime film *Sau Nummer vier* (2009). The group describes its music as "folklorefreie Volksmusik" - Bavarian-dialect songs that roam freely across folk, jazz, ska, rock and tarantella without ever settling into lederhosen cliché. Now a seven-piece live band, they have released five studio albums and performed with the Münchner Symphoniker at the Prinzregententheater; the Süddeutsche Zeitung called them the "wirkmächtigste Band aus Bayern".
