Dreiviertelblut present their fifth studio album "Prost Ewigkeit", released on May 16, 2025, with its live premiere on May 20, 2025 at Munich's Circus Krone. Founded in 2012 by film composer Gerd Baumann and vocalist Sebastian Horn, the band has established itself as one of the most distinctive voices in the German-language music scene - known in particular for the cult hit "Deifedanz" from their debut album "Lieder vom Unterholz".
"Prost Ewigkeit" comprises twelve new songs revolving around love, pain, happiness, intoxication, loss, and eternal searching - ultimately landing on the moon. Musically, the unmistakable Dreiviertelblut sound remains intact, yet surprises with pop elements, a touch of disco, and rich Western sounds. The lyrics by Horn and Baumann are characteristically multi-layered: sometimes humorously absurd, sometimes poetically transcendent.
Gerd Baumann describes the album as an "appeal against burying one's head in the sand" during times of crisis. Sebastian Horn adds: "Prost Ewigkeit definitely has the dark side of Dreiviertelblut's nature again, but also many facets that go beyond that, wanting to step into the light".
Line-up: Sebastian Horn (vocals), Gerd Baumann (guitar, vocals), Dominik Glöbl (French horn, trumpet, vocals), Florian Riedl (clarinet, bass clarinet, Moog), Flurin Mück (drums, percussion), Luke Cy
