Bavarian band Dreiviertelblut released their fifth studio album "Prost Ewigkeit" on 16 May 2025, which celebrated its live premiere on 20 May 2025 at Munich's Circus Krone.
Since the band's founding in 2012 by film composer Gerd Baumann and singer Sebastian Horn, Dreiviertelblut has established itself as one of the most distinctive voices in the German-language music scene. Their debut album "Lieder vom Unterholz" made a big splash with critics and fans alike - their biggest hit to date, "Deifedanz" from that record, has cult status well beyond their core fanbase.

Deep, poetic lyrics in Bavarian dialect and genre-defying arrangements give each of their albums its own unmistakable character. "Prost Ewigkeit" is no different: the new songs take listeners on a journey through the highs and lows of human existence, touching on love, pain, happiness, intoxication, loss, wisdom, folly and the eternal search - and ending with a trip to the moon.

With "Prost Ewigkeit", from the undergrowth into the light - Dreiviertelblut, long associated with a deeply Bavarian kind of darkness, strike a hopeful note with their new songs. The band faces crisis-ridden times with their characteristic lightness, from which a realisation emerges: that we find shelter in togetherness and beauty in simply being alive. Because nothing stays and nothing stops, because everything is trivial and everything matters, they raise a toast to eternity. "In times like these, when the end of the world feels so close, the album is a plea against burying your head in the sand. A protest that lies in creating good, thinking good and projecting good into the future - because anything else would amount to resignation," says Gerd Baumann.
