Ego Ella May (born Ego Ella Uche, 1992) is a British-Nigerian singer-songwriter from Croydon, South London, working across R&B, neo-soul and contemporary jazz. Her name honours both her Nigerian heritage and jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald. Her 2020 debut album Honey for Wounds won Best Jazz Act at the MOBO Awards and earned her the Vocalist of the Year prize at the 2021 Jazz FM Awards, establishing her as one of the key voices of the UK soul renaissance. Her sophomore album Good Intentions followed in March 2026.
