Farid Bang (born Farid Hamed El Abdellaoui, 4 June 1986 in Melilla, Spain) is a German gangsta rapper of Moroccan-Spanish descent who moved to Düsseldorf at age eight and began rapping at nineteen. He built a string of chart-topping solo albums - including Killa (2014) and Asphalt Massaka 3 (2015) - and co-headlined the hugely influential Jung, brutal, gutaussehend series with Kollegah. Since 2014 he has run his own label, Banger Musik, and remains one of the most commercially successful figures in German-language hip-hop.
