Floor Jansen (born 21 February 1981 in Goirle, Netherlands) is a Dutch singer best known as the lead vocalist of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, which she joined as a full-time member in 2013. She first made her name fronting After Forever from age 16, then led her own band ReVamp before stepping onto the world's biggest metal stages with Nightwish. In 2023 she released her debut solo album Paragon, and has spoken openly about her breast cancer diagnosis and recovery.
Floor Jansen performed a solo headline set at Wacken Open Air 2025 on August 2, drawing from her full catalogue including After Forever, ReVamp, Northward, Nightwish and solo material.
Jansen confirmed in a Metal Hammer interview that Nightwish's pause from touring is temporary, describing it as 'a break, not a stop', and revealed she is writing her second solo album.
Jansen announced 'Strijdlust' (Fighting Spirit), her first-ever Dutch theater tour for September 2025, combining music and spoken word about her cancer battle, motherhood and career.
Nightwish released their tenth studio album Yesterwynde on 20 September 2024, which debuted at #1 in Finland and reached #2 in Austria.
Floor Jansen released her debut solo album Paragon on 24 March 2023; it debuted at #2 on the Dutch Album Charts and also charted in Germany (#19), Switzerland (#20) and Belgium (#21).
