About

Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. Over eight studio albums - from the gothic-tinged debut 'Enter' through to 'Bleed Out' (2023) - they built a following of millions, blending orchestral grandeur with hard rock and, more recently, electronic textures. Their 2000 breakthrough 'Mother Earth' and its single 'Ice Queen' put them on the European map for good, and they have since headlined Wacken, Download, Hellfest and Graspop, selling over four million records worldwide.
