Within Temptation
Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation performs at the Rockowizna 2026 festival in Poznań.
Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. Over eight studio albums - from the gothic-tinged debut 'Enter' through to 'Bleed Out' (2023) - they built a following of millions, blending orchestral grandeur with hard rock and, more recently, electronic textures. Their 2000 breakthrough 'Mother Earth' and its single 'Ice Queen' put them on the European map for good, and they have since headlined Wacken, Download, Hellfest and Graspop, selling over four million records worldwide.
Within Temptation announced a celebration of the 25th anniversary of 'Mother Earth', launching it with a newly recorded acoustic version of 'Ice Queen'.
The band released the single 'Sing Like A Siren' featuring Ukrainian Eurovision artist Jerry Heil, tied to their documentary about solidarity with Ukraine.
Documentary 'Within Temptation: The Invisible Force', covering the band's involvement with Ukraine and Sharon den Adel's visit to Kyiv, premiered on YouTube on May 6.
Keyboardist Martijn Spierenburg left Within Temptation after 24 years, announcing his departure on December 9, 2024.
Within Temptation are performing at major European summer festivals in 2026, including Rock am Ring, Rock im Park and Rock For People.
