Foy Vance (born 18 November 1974 in Bangor, Northern Ireland) is a singer-songwriter whose music weaves together folk, soul and Southern blues - a sound shaped by a childhood spent partly in Oklahoma, where his father, a travelling preacher, first taught him guitar. He debuted with Hope in 2007, broke through with Joy of Nothing (2013, Northern Ireland Music Prize winner), and has since toured alongside Ed Sheeran, Elton John and Bonnie Raitt. His seventh album, The Wake (2026, Rounder Records), closes a 26-year arc of seven albums he conceived as a tribute to his late father.
