Donovan Woods is a Canadian folk and country singer-songwriter born in 1980 in Sarnia, Ontario. His intimate, lyric-driven style earned him the 2019 Juno Award for Contemporary Roots Album of the Year for 'Both Ways', and his seventh studio album 'Things Were Never Good If They're Not Good Now' (2024) was long-listed for the Polaris Music Prize. Beyond his own recordings, he has placed songs with Tim McGraw, Charles Kelley of Lady A, Kenny Chesney and others, making him one of the most sought-after Canadian songwriters working in Nashville.
Woods released the five-track EP 'Squander Your Gifts' on February 27, 2026, dedicated to his late Nashville co-writer Abe Stoklasa, who died in November 2023.
