Gregory Porter (born November 4, 1971) is an American singer-songwriter from Bakersfield, California, whose warm baritone spans jazz, soul, and gospel. He has won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album twice - for Liquid Spirit (2014) and Take Me to the Alley (2017) - and is a seven-time Grammy nominee overall. Signed to Blue Note Records since 2013, he broke through to mainstream audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with Liquid Spirit, which sold over a million copies worldwide.
