Helene Fischer is a German schlager and pop singer born in 1984 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, who moved to Germany as a child and went on to become the country's best-selling recording artist. Her 2013 album Farbenspiel - driven by the smash single "Atemlos durch die Nacht" - is the sixth-best-selling album in German chart history, and she has topped the German year-end album chart five times. With over 18 million records sold and more than seven million concert tickets across her tours, she is widely regarded as the biggest live act to emerge from the German-speaking world.
