Hurts are a British synth-pop duo from Manchester, formed in 2009 by vocalist Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson. Their debut album Happiness (2010) broke into the UK top 5 and the top 10 across much of Europe, establishing a sound built on cold, cinematic electronics and dramatic melodies. They have since released four more studio albums - Exile (2013), Surrender (2015), Desire (2017) and Faith (2020) - and built a devoted live following across the continent.
Adam Anderson announced he would not participate in the Happiness 15th anniversary tour due to ongoing mental health challenges; Theo Hutchcraft continues the shows with the band's long-time touring members.
Hurts released 'Wonderful Life '25', a rework of their signature track produced with German DJ Purple Disco Machine, timed to the 15th anniversary of the Happiness album.
The '15 Years of Happiness' anniversary tour kicked off on 22 May 2025 at London's O2 Academy Brixton, with German dates in Berlin, Bochum and Frankfurt following in the same month and June.
Hurts have a concert scheduled for 10 July 2026 in Warsaw, Poland at Progresja Music Zone.
