Synthie-Pop-Night at the Weißenfels Stadtfest
Four synth-pop acts - Camouflage, Kite, De/Vision and 80's Express - share a stage at the Weißenfels Stadtfest open-air event.
Camouflage is a German synth-pop trio from Bietigheim-Bissingen, formed in 1983 by Marcus Meyn (vocals), Heiko Maile and Oliver Kreyssig (both keyboards and production). Their 1987 debut single "The Great Commandment" hit number one on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and reached the top ten in over twenty countries, making them one of the most internationally successful German electronic acts of the late 1980s. Over eight studio albums they developed a sound built on melodic synth lines, dense electronic beats and Meyn's distinctly melancholic voice - a style that kept them relevant well into the 2000s and beyond.
Polydor/Universal released a digital "The Great Commandment (Remixes)" EP on June 20, 2025, featuring seven remastered tracks including the original 1988 US mixes and newly mastered dubs for streaming platforms.
An official 4K Director's Cut of the "The Great Commandment" music video was released on YouTube on May 22, 2025, with restored footage produced by the original team.
The "Rewind to the Future and Goodbye" tour launched in October 2024 with sold-out shows across Germany, starting at Dresden's Stromwerk and covering ten major cities.
The compilation "Rewind to the Future and Goodbye" reached number 8 on the German albums chart in 2024, while the reissued album Bodega Bohemia climbed to number 10.
The tour extended into Central Europe in early 2025, with dates in Warsaw, Ostrava, Bratislava and Prague.

Synth-pop pioneers Camouflage play a summer open-air show in Görlitz, mixing 80s classics with new material.
