About

Jethro Tull is a British rock band formed in 1967 in Blackpool, led ever since by vocalist and flautist Ian Anderson. Their signature blend of hard rock, folk and progressive rock - anchored by Anderson's flute work and literary lyrics - produced landmark albums such as Aqualung (1971) and Thick as a Brick (1972), and earned the band a Grammy Award in 1988. With an estimated 60 million albums sold worldwide, they rank among the most commercially successful acts in progressive rock history.
