Kerstin Ott (born 17 January 1982 in West Berlin) is a German singer, songwriter, guitarist and DJ who broke through in 2016 with "Die immer lacht" - a song she had written around 2005 for a sick friend, later remixed by Stereoact and certified diamond in Germany. Before her music career she worked as a painter and decorator, and she openly identifies as lesbian, advocating publicly for LGBTQ+ rights. Her five studio albums have all earned gold or platinum certification, with total sales of nearly 1.5 million records.
Kerstin Ott released "Rosalinde" on 17 April 2026, a cover of a song from the musical "Romeo & Julia - Liebe ist alles" by Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer, reinterpreted in her pop-schlager style.
In a podcast interview, Ott publicly discussed a breast reduction surgery she had undergone, citing a family history of cancer and personal wellbeing as her reasons.
Ott released the single "Irgendwann vielleicht" in January 2025, accompanied by a dance remix.
