Krzysztof Krawczyk (1946-2021) was one of the most widely heard Polish pop singers of the 20th century - a baritone vocalist, guitarist and composer who began his career with the beat group Trubadurzy in 1963 before going solo in 1973. Over five decades he moved freely between pop, rock and roll, country, gospel and disco polo, collaborating with artists as varied as Goran Bregović and Rod Stewart, and performing for Pope John Paul II at St. Peter's Square in 2000. His album "To co w życiu ważne" reached number one on the Polish charts, and songs like "Parostatek" and "Bo jesteś Ty" remain fixtures of Polish popular culture.
