Laurie Anderson is an American avant-garde artist whose work spans music, performance, spoken word and visual art. She rose to wider attention with her 1981 single "O Superman" and has since built a body of work that blurs the line between concert and theatrical event. Her collaboration with jazz ensemble Sexmob is one of several projects where she combines storytelling with experimental sound.
