About

Mocky is the alias of Canadian musician, singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Dominic Salole (born 1974 in Saskatchewan), who spent formative years in Berlin before relocating to Los Angeles. Over a 25-year career he has written and produced for Feist, Kelela, Jamie Lidell, Moses Sumney, and Vulfpeck, while also composing music for the Netflix anime series Carole & Tuesday. His 2025 album Music Will Explain (Choir Music Vol. 1) - his debut for Stones Throw Records - centers on unprocessed human voices recorded to tape in his LA garage, a deliberate response to the rise of AI-generated music.
