Neophyte is a Dutch hardcore and gabber group founded in Rotterdam in 1992, with Jeroen Streunding (born 1971) as its driving force and current front-man. Starting out as a trio on an Amiga computer, they became one of the most influential acts in European hardcore, performing at landmark events such as Thunderdome and Masters of Hardcore. In 1999 Streunding launched Neophyte Records, which has grown into one of the leading hardcore labels worldwide, home to artists like Tha Playah, Evil Activities and Nosferatu.
Neophyte is confirmed to perform at the Exterminate Festival on 15 August 2026 in Bussloo, on the Millennium Hardcore stage hosted by History of Hardcore.
Neophyte Records released the compilation 'At War' in December 2024, featuring DJ Neophyte alongside Masters Of Ceremony, Bodylotion and Scott Brown.
Neophyte Records marked its 25th anniversary in 2024 with a two-volume vinyl compilation series, '25 Years Of Neophyte Records', released on coloured vinyl.
Neophyte released the track 'The Protest' in 2024, noted as a return to the label's old-school hardcore sound.
