Pachanga Boys is an electronic music duo formed in 2011 by German producer Superpitcher (Aksel Schaufler, affiliated with Cologne's Kompakt label) and Mexican artist Rebolledo (Mauricio Rebolledo). The two met in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and went on to build their own label, Hippie Dance, around a sound that blends deep house, techno and psychedelic Latin textures. Their 15-minute track "Time" (2011) became a cult fixture on dance floors worldwide, and their debut album We Are Really Sorry (2012) cemented their reputation as one of underground electronic music's most distinctive acts.
Pachanga Boys played a set of over 7 hours at Domaine La Ferme Hi Bride in Villelaure, France.
The duo performed in Mexico at QIU Disco Club in Querétaro and at Campos de Agave Jose Cuervo in Tequila/Guadalajara.
Pachanga Boys played the Tauron Nowa Muzyka festival in Katowice, Poland in June 2024.
After several years away from the stage, Pachanga Boys returned with a 2024 global tour of 10 hand-picked shows, launched by their December 2023 appearance at the TROPICO festival anniversary in Acapulco.
The duo reunited for their first shared stage performance in three years at the tenth anniversary of the TROPICO festival in Acapulco, Mexico.
