Peter Orloff (born 12 March 1944 in Lemgo as Pjotr Nikolajewitsch von Orlow) is a German schlager singer, composer, lyricist, and music producer of Russian noble descent. He joined the Schwarzmeer Kosaken-Chor at age 14 - the youngest member in the choir's history - and has led it as Ataman since 1993, continuing the legacy of his father Nikolai Orloff who co-founded the ensemble. As a songwriter he placed four titles among the all-time biggest German hits, including Peter Maffay's debut smash 'Du' and Bernd Clüver's 'Der Junge mit der Mundharmonika', while his own 'Ein Mädchen für immer' earned him a Gold record.
