At last! The "Jungle King of Hearts" is back on tour!
DAS WOLGALIED - Peter Orloff & the Schwarzmeer Kosaken are coming
The wait is finally over! After the most successful year in the choir's history, the closing concert on 8 March was followed by the longest break in its existence. Now, though, the Schwarzmeer Kosaken Chor and its audience can celebrate again - an evening put together in close cooperation with local organisers to make it as carefree as possible. Music for the soul, joy for the ears.
The centrepiece of the evening is a festive concert by the renowned Schwarzmeer Kosaken-Chor, under the overall artistic direction and personal participation of Peter Orloff. He was once the youngest singer in the history of Cossack choirs worldwide - performing alongside Ivan Rebroff - and it was with the Schwarzmeer Kosaken-Chor that he launched his legendary career. He now celebrates 60 years on stage.
From a boy with an already remarkable voice, he grew into schlager legend Peter Orloff - the "King of the Charts" with 19 of his own chart entries and numerous gold records. He sang, among others, "Ein Mädchen für immer" and "Königin der Nacht", wrote the lyrics for Bernd Clüver's "Junge mit der Mundharmonika", and composed "Du" - still Peter Maffay's biggest hit, now also covered by Helene Fischer. Andrea Berg and the Amigos perform "Der kleine Prinz", another million-seller written and composed by Orloff. Beyond Maffay and Clüver, he produced artists including Heino, Freddy Quinn, and Julio Iglesias. In the history of the ZDF-Hitparade, he holds the second-best re-entry rate of all time among performers with the most appearances, behind only Chris Roberts.
All of Germany was gripped when Peter Orloff reached the final of Dschungelcamp in 2019 and became the audience's favourite - the "Dschungelprinz".
